Vaser Liposelection | Dr. Kirk
Conveniently located to serve Jacksonville, FL
Despite its misleading name, Vaser Liposelection does not involve the use of a laser but instead uses a new patented ultrasound technology to break up, emulsify, and remove fatty tissue. Vaser Liposelection is also known as Vaser Lipo or Vaser Liposuction. Posh Plastic Surgery is excited to offer Vaser Liposelection in Jacksonville.
VASER LIPOSUCTION VS. TRADITIONAL LIPOSUCTION
Vaser Liposelection differs from traditional liposuction in that it does not destroy the tissue that surrounds the fatty tissue to be removed. The blood vessels, nerves, and connective tissue are left relatively intact and patients and physicians have reported far less pain and bruising than is the case with traditional liposuction methods meaning far less recovery time and discomfort.
Vaser Liposelection can be performed any on almost any body part or parts that you and your surgeon have decided would benefit from the procedure, such as the abdomen area, love handles, thighs, back, hips, upper arms, knees, or even neck.

Since Vaser Liposuction is such a minimally invasive procedure it is usually performed in-office under local anesthetic and sedation. The patient is awake throughout the procedure yet their discomfort is kept to a minimum. The physician will mark the areas to be treated and make a small incision, then the area is filled with a sterile solution containing a local anesthetic to numb the area and constrict the blood vessels which keeps blood loss and bruising to a minimum. A small ultrasound probe is then inserted into the treatment area and moved in even strokes to break down and liquefy the fatty tissue. The final stage is where the saline solution, containing the liquified fat, is removed through gentle suction.
RECOVERING FROM VASER LIPOSELECTION
Recovery time from a Vaser Liposelection procedure varies with the amount of surface area covered, but generally about a week of mild discomfort can be expected. There may be some swelling and bruising but these issues should subside over the next few days following your Vaser Liposelection in Jacksonville. After the procedure, your surgeon will fit you with customized garments that will speed the healing process and enhance skin retraction to provide you with smooth, natural-looking results. Your final look will be clearly evident three to four months after the procedure. Please give your body time to assimilate the new changes before you judge your results.
I had an amazing experience with Dr. Kirk and her stuff. They are very kind, welcoming and down to earth kind of people and their confidence definitely took all my fears away. Not just before the procedure, but also during my post-op visits. And, I am so, so happy with my results! I enjoy listening to my friends “wows” and their continuous guessing my age. :))). I’ll be back for more. Thank you Posh PS.
IS VASER LIPOSELECTION RIGHT FOR ME?
Be sure to view before and after pictures of Vaser Liposelection with your surgeon to determine if the procedure is right for you. It may be that you have too much fat or loose skin and liposuction alone may not be enough or may leave you with too much excess skin. If this is the case, you would be better suited for surgery. However, your surgeon will advise of the best course of treatment during your initial consultation in Jacksonville.
THE COST OF VASER LIPOSELECTION
The cost of your Vaser Liposelection in Jacksonville will be discussed during your consultation with Dr. Kirk at Posh Plastic Surgery. Price will be based on the number of areas being treated and other important factors that our team can go over.
