Fractional Skin Rejuvenation – Pixel (2940nm Er:YAG Laser)
The pixel is a true laser. It causes a very effective rejuvenation of the skin by burning tiny holes into the epidermal and dermal layers called an ablative thermal channel .

By splitting the light of the laser into a grid pattern of tiny pin points only 15 – 20% of the skin is affected and the resulting micro injuries stimulate new tissue and collagen growth whilst being supported by the unaffected surrounding tissue. As the new growth remodels the skin it is tightened and texture and tone are greatly improved.

Treatment takes about 45 minutes for the facial area alone and is relatively pain free.

Why Undergo Pixel Treatment?

The Pixel is effective for treating wrinkles and fine lines, acne scarring and minor discoloration. It rejuvenates the skin and addresses sun-damaged skin, age spots, and hyperpigmentation. Aside from the neck and face, Pixel can also be used on the chest, arms, and hands, offering a broader range of applications for treating aging and sun-damaged skin.

Am I a Good Candidate?

Pixel treatment is for men and women who have symptoms of aging or acne scars on their skin. People who have tried topical products and are searching for more dramatic outcomes may undergo Pixel therapy. Ideal candidates have moderate sun damage, are healthy, have good health habits, and take proper care of their skin on a regular basis.

How Is Pixel Treatment Done?

Treatment normally takes less than 20 minutes, but if your skin issues are more severe, it may take longer. Your specific treatment plan will be determined by your skin problems.

On the day of the treatment, you will be taken to our face-washing station when you arrive, where you can remove makeup, moisturizers, and sunblock.

The pixel laser handpiece will smoothly glide across the treatment region during the procedure. You may get a prickling feeling and hear the Pixel Laser’s beeping sound. After the treatment, a topical anesthetic will be administered to relieve any residual sensations.

What to Expect After the Pixel Treatment

There is some recovery time for a Pixel treatment. For the first few days you will see a grid work pattern of micro burns on the skin. We say that it looks as if you had been hit with a screen door and may feel like a moderate sunburn.

This will give way to some flaking of the surface layer as the new growth is generated beneath. This is especially noticeable while the skin is being cleansed. Some people look normal again within a week, more typically it will take up to two weeks.

Because the skin-cell turnover rate is slower and there are fewer oil glands, skin on the body (meaning anywhere other than the face) can take at least twice as long to recover.

How Much Does Pixel Cost?

The price of Pixel therapy is determined based on factors like the area(s) to be treated and the number of treatments required. While a single Pixel Laser Resurfacing treatment can produce notable effects, the best outcomes come from a course of treatment sessions.

We usually recommend three treatment sessions spaced three to four weeks apart, though this depends on your skin’s health. The number of sessions needed to achieve the optimum outcomes is determined by your current skin condition. Those with substantial symptoms of aging, such as stretch marks, acne scarring, or wrinkles, will require additional sessions.
