Inner Thigh Lift Jacksonville
A medial thigh lift, or inner thigh lift, is a procedure done for tightening the skin of the inner thighs. It is usually reserved for patients who have excess loose skin on the inner thigh after massive weight loss after a gastric bypass or lap band procedure. Some people requesting liposuction of the inner thighs are really better candidates for bilateral thigh lift surgery because of the excess skin. Thigh lift surgery is performed under general anesthesia and combined with liposuction of the inner thighs if necessary to produce even better results.
The thigh lift before and after photos demonstrate the drastic improvement that is possible with the procedure. The scars left by the procedure are located in the groin crease. When there is too much loose skin, the thigh lift scars could extend down the middle of the thighs to the knees. Sometimes it takes two procedures several months apart to achieve the best results.
The surgical procedure lasts about 2-3 hours, and drains are used for a few days. Typically, the sutures are absorbable so there is no need for suture removal afterwards. Thigh lift recovery is about 2-3 weeks, but persistent swelling is present for 6-8 weeks. Patients wear a compression garment for about 6 weeks after surgery
Medial thigh lift cost can vary depending on whether an extended or a mini thigh lift is needed. Dr. Kirk will perform a thorough examination and go over what your thigh lift cost will be during the consultation.
Other options for thigh lifting include lateral thigh lift, or outer thigh lift, which is usually incorporated as part of a larger procedure called a lower body lift, or a spiral thigh lift, which can be used to reshape the thigh in all dimensions.
