Spider and Reticular Veins – Long Pulse (1064nm Nd: YAG)
The Long Pulse laser is effective in treating minor reticular veins and spider veins. The Long Pulse penetrates the dermal layer to reach both blue (deoxygenated) and red (oxygenated) veins and coagulates them with heat, causing them to collapse and fade away. The surrounding tissue is left unharmed as the laser light is absorbed by the darker cells and effective treatment can be given without needles or chemicals. In the case of larger veins that are not suitable for the Long Pulse we can treat them with Polidocanol injections. Our Nurse Practitioner will advise you as to the best course of action during your consultation.
