VASER LIPOSUCTION VS. TRADITIONAL LIPOSUCTION
Vaser Liposelection differs from traditional liposuction in that it does not destroy the tissue that surrounds the fatty tissue to be removed. The blood vessels, nerves, and connective tissue are left relatively intact and patients and physicians have reported far less pain and bruising than is the case with traditional liposuction methods meaning far less recovery time and discomfort.
Vaser Liposelection can be performed any on almost any body part or parts that you and your surgeon have decided would benefit from the procedure, such as the abdomen area, love handles, thighs, back, hips, upper arms, knees, or even neck.

Since Vaser Liposuction is such a minimally invasive procedure it is usually performed in-office under local anesthetic and sedation. The patient is awake throughout the procedure yet their discomfort is kept to a minimum. The physician will mark the areas to be treated and make a small incision, then the area is filled with a sterile solution containing a local anesthetic to numb the area and constrict the blood vessels which keeps blood loss and bruising to a minimum. A small ultrasound probe is then inserted into the treatment area and moved in even strokes to break down and liquefy the fatty tissue. The final stage is where the saline solution, containing the liquified fat, is removed through gentle suction.
RECOVERING FROM VASER LIPOSELECTION
Recovery time from a Vaser Liposelection procedure varies with the amount of surface area covered, but generally about a week of mild discomfort can be expected. There may be some swelling and bruising but these issues should subside over the next few days following your Vaser Liposelection in Jacksonville. After the procedure, your surgeon will fit you with customized garments that will speed the healing process and enhance skin retraction to provide you with smooth, natural-looking results.
